Please note, we also have a new meeting location - Seawood School (see below for details).

Welcome to the Saint John Astronomy Club. We meet the first Saturday of every month - long weekends usually excepted when we meet the following weekend. The meetings are held at Seawood School on the West Side of Saint John. You can pretend you are going to the Irving Nature Park and once you get to the top of the hill where Bleury Street meets the Sand Cove Road the school is across the street to the left.

The meeting starts at 7:00 pm and generally runs 2 – 3 hours. The meetings are always informal and are open to anybody interested in talking about Astronomy. No experience necessary. We look forward to seeing you!

The International Year Of Astronomy is upon us. Celebrating the 400th anniversary of Galileo first gazing through his telescope there are events planned all over the world and our club is no exception. If you are looking for events occurring in your area please visit Astronomy2009.ca to find out any scheduled events.

The Clear Sky Clock is an extremely useful tool for Astronomers. It is used to predict observing conditions and has been proven to be extremely accurate. For more information or details on how to interpret, please visit the Clear Sky Clock home.
